Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen,

Honourable Chief Guest BRIG. RAJAT UPRETI, CHAIRMAN, VMC, KV EME, BARODA, Guest of Honour Smt. Chitra Upreti and the august gathering.

It is my proud privilege to welcome you all who have assembled here to grace the occasion. We are on the edge of completing another successful academic session 2016-17. During this session we have tried to touch the horizon and in many areas, we are proud to say that we achieved success. Now, it’s time to showcase our performances and achievements.

The Vidyalaya saw various changes from the initial stage to this day. Faces are changed but the glory is not extenuated. Instead it is reaching wuthering heights day by day in one or another way.

The persons who served here are spreading the fragrance of their glory in other Kendriya Vidyalayas.

Mr. D.K.Pandey (Vice Principal), Mrs. Divya Gupta (HM), Mr.B.K.Gol (TGT – P&HE), Mrs. Zakia Khatoon (PRT) & Mrs. Sushma Srivastava(PRT) got superannuation from this Vidyalaya as they completed 60 years of age. The gaps and ditches caused in this way were tried to overcome by the KVS by posting following members of staff in this Vidyalaya.

It was really unfortunate that we lost our beloved PGT(Eng) Mr. Mehul Kumar earlier this year to death. The sudden demise was no doubt a setback for the Vidyalaya and also left a void in our hearts.

Excellence in academics is the hallmark of any good institution. At our Vidyalaya, the results were remarkable.

·       In Class X

134 students appeared, out of them 15 students got 10 CGPA and the Vidyalaya result is 100%.

·       In Class XII all the three streams are functional.


·       In Science stream

78 students appeared out of them 78 passed and pass percentage is 100%.

In Science Stream Mas. Atul Tyagi secured 1st postion with 94% marks.


He secured 18th position in Ahmedabad Region and also secured position among 1.5% of total toppers among all KVs of India.


·       In Commerce Stream


o   40 students appeared out of them 39 passed and pass percentage is 97.5%.


o   Ku. Kajal Rathva secured 1st position in Vidyalaya with  83.2 %.


·       In Humanities Stream


o   34 students appeared out of them 33 passed and pass percentage was 97.06%


o   Kumari Shraddha Awasthi topped with 92.4% and stood 4th in Ahmedabad Region. She also secured position among 1.5% toppers of all KVs of India.


Master Harsh Raj & Master Uppal Kalita of Class XII (Science) – two students of our Vidyalaya got selected in IIT.

Mission The mission of our Vidyalaya for the session is

To achieve this mission, speech inculcating moral values is given by a teacher daily in morning assembly.

Our buzzing school library is the centre of knowledge in the form of 17441 precious books & internet connection for proper functioning of e-library which is the most imminent feature of this institution. 34 periodicals and 8 daily news papers are always available to keep the students abreast of present scenario. Digitalization of the library has been done including bar coding. A Book fair was organised for three days.

Three well-equipped computer labs with 16 multimedia projectors, 12 visualizers & 2 Magic Boxes, are provided to facilitate Technology Aided Learning. The Vidyalaya has its own Web Portal which facilitates the students, the teachers and alumni of the Vidyalaya to share information.

The Vidyalaya is well-equipped with spacious laboratories of Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Junior Science. A good multipurpose room available in the Vidyalaya is the centre for various activities, courses, workshops and seminars.

There is also a primary resource room for different activities of primary section.

We have 03 prayer grounds in our Vidyalaya.

Our Vidyalaya has a big play ground with the facilities to play Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Football and other outdoor games. The basement is the centre of indoor games.

The dreams of Baden Powel have been kept alive through various activities in Vidyalaya. This year, 415 students were registered as Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls.

One scout and Three Guides successfully passed Tritiya Sopan Testing Camp.

Three Scouts and two guides were selected for Rajya Puraskar Testing Camp.

Three bulbuls received Hirak Pankh & five cubs received Chaturth Charan.


NCC activities are conducted under the Leadership of our ANO Mr. H.B Garasia, TGT(Eng). It will not be out of context to mention that out of 05 KVs of Baroda KV EME, Baroda is the only school, where Training of NCC is imparted actively. Other KVs are on the way to start this activity. This year, 19 boy cadets and 9 girl cadets enrolled.

·       Seventeen NCC Cadets attended CATC program

·       Twelve NCC Cadets attended pre RDC 1 held at NCC Leadership Academy, Rajpipla with T/O H.B.Garasia, TGT(Eng).

·       Five cadets went to National Trekking Camp held at Uttarpradesh.

·       Cadet Rohit of Class X-C was selected as Best Cadet at 3 Gujarat Battalion, Baroda.

·       Cadets participated in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan celebrated by 3 Gujarat Battalion NCC and secured first position at State Level.

·       During Camp different competitions were organized (like Drill Competition, Firing, Elocution etc.) in which 7 cadets won Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal.

·       Cadet Harsh Prajapati was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 1000 by CO of the Camp for solving the cube puzzle.


It gives me immense pleasure to tell you that our Vidyalaya was given the opportunity to represent the Ahmedabad Region in KVS National Kala Utsav – 2016 – visual arts competition held at KV No. 3 Jaipur on 14th   October and 15th  October 2016, where ‘Bhavai’ performed by our students was highly appreciated.



Our Vidyalaya was the chosen KV out of 46 schools of the Ahmedabad Region, to host Regional Level Social Science Exhibition on 6th and 7th September 2016, in which winner KVs of all Clusters had participated. The function was presided over by the Chief Guest Smt.A.P.Bhalla, DC, KVS RO (AR). The various activities conducted during these two days were Group Song, Group Dance and Exhibits based on the themes Germany & Assam. One of the exhibits of our Vidyalaya based on Kamakhya Temple was selected for National Level and highly appreciated by the Judges &  Skits were also performed on social values.


Our Vidyalaya also participated in Regional Level National Children Science Congress, held at KV SAC Ahmedabad. 10 groups of students of our Vidyalayas surveyed and prepared projects on the theme Science, Technology & Innovation for   Sustainable Development.

Our Vidyalaya was the venue for the training of 21st Century Learning and Teaching with Technology program organized by Microsoft for PGTs of Jaipur Region from 23.10.2016 to 28.10.2016 in which 30 PGTs had participated.


Our Vidyalaya was also the Venue for the Workshop Based Activity of Certificate Program for the Professional Development of Primary Teachers (CPPDPT) of Baroda & Surat Cluster 2016 and the fourth phase of this course has been conducted successfully in the month of November-2016 from 08.11.2016 to 22.11.2016.


Abiding by the rules and regulations of CBSE & Govt. Of India to celebrate Azadi – 70 on the occasion of 70th year of Independence Day, our Vidyalaya not only conducted Prabhat Pheri at Vidyalaya Level from Vidyalaya Premises to Amit Nagar Circle and back, but also  our Vidyalaya was given the responsibility to organize Prabhat Pheri of all the 5 schools of Baroda Cluster on 23.08.2016. Mrs. Aruna Bhalla, DC, KVS(RO), AR was the Chief Guest & flagged off the rally from the gate of KV No.1, Harni Road, Baroda which ended in our Vidyalaya premises. Approximately 500 students and 25 teachers enthusiastically  participated.


On this occasion Greeting Card Making and Slogan Writing Competition were also organized. 390 greeting cards prepared by students were sent to our brave Jawans posted at borders.


Common Minimum Programme started as per policy of KVS has proved a way to bring out latent talent of the young blossoms.

Cluster Level CMP Cultural Meet was organized at KV No.1, Harni, Baroda on 19.11.2016 in which students had participated in cultural activities like Group Song, Group Dance, Fancy Dress and Rangoli Making. In Fancy Dress Competition Ma. Arav Garasia of Class III secured 1st Postion and Tirtha A. Kalangupkar of Class II secured 2nd Position.

Our achievement in the field of games and sports is at par with academics. 228 students participated in Cluster Level Sports Meet. 136 students at KVS Regional Level Sports Meet. 30 students participated in KVS National Level Sports Meet. 49 Gold medals, 62 Silver Medals and 10 Bronze medals were bagged by our students in various sports events. Our Vidyalaya organised KVS Cluster Level Kho Kho for Boys and Girls (under – 14 & under- 19) and Foot ball for Boys under-17. Regional Cricket for under -17 boys was also organised in our Vidyalaya. Coaching Camp for Boys U-17 Cricket was also organized in our Vidyalaya for the National Participants.



Master Smit Chauhan from our Vidyalaya won the first position in the 7th All India Shitoryu Open Karate Championship 2016 organised by Shitoryu Karate Do Association, India.


In addition to this, 3 students from our Vidyalaya, 2 students U-14 and one student U 17 participated in the skating event of Khel Mahakumbh conducted by Govt. of Gujarat and added feathers to the cap. 2 of them, Ma.Rachit (U-14) as well as Ma. Rishabh Bhatt (U-17) have won 2 Gold Medals and received Rs. 10000/- in cash at State Level.


Also, 3 girls from our Vidyalaya participated in Rope Mallkhambh and won Silver medals at State Level. They also participated at the National Level.


Achievements at district level have also been remarkable for the year. Our Vidyalaya’s U-14 boys’ Kabaddi team became the champions at the 6th VNM Khel Utsav in Vadodara Inter School Sports Competition.


On the occasion of the National Youth Day, our boys won the basketball finals in the inter school tournament conducted by Ramkrishna Mission Vivekanand Memorial, Vadodara.


Our boys also won the Football Teens Cup 2016 at district level.


Annual Sports Day at Vidyalaya level was organized on 29.11.2016, in which maximum number of students took part with sports man spirit.

Keeping in view the overall development of students, KVS gives importance to co-curricular activities (CCA) conducted at Vidyalaya level to boost the morale of the students. The students of the vidyalaya actively participated in inter class & inter house co-curricular activities showcasing their talent with undeterred vim and vigour. Our Vidyalaya makes it a point to celebrate all days of national importance and birth anniversaries of great personalities with full zeal and enthusiasm. The essence is preserved in true spirit to impart knowledge and inculcate values among the students.

20 students participated in Junior Science Olympiad & 10 students participated in National Standard Examination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Astronomy conducted by IAPT(Indian Association of Physics Teachers).


Students are also motivated to participate in Cyber, Maths, English, Science Olympiads which instill confidence and enable them to get a taste of competitive examinations.


On the occasion of World Environment Day, 5th June, officials from the Forest department informed about the protection of trees, importance of afforestation and saplings were planted in the premises.


The Vigilance Awareness week was observed in our Vidyalaya from 31st October 2016 to 5th November 2016 to promote transparency, probity and integrity. The theme of vigilance Awareness Week this year was ‘Public Participation in Promoting integrity and eradicating Corruption’. A number of activities like Essay Writing, Debate, Painting, Elocution were organized by Vidyalaya in collaboration with other organizations (like Syndicate Bank, Post Office, Power Grid & GAIL (India) Vadodara) to mark the occasion. Celebration began with taking the pledge. The winners of Elocution Competition organized by Gail (India) Limited Vadodara were given away Cash Prizes of Rs. 5000, Rs.3000 & Rs. 2000 in four groups each.


KVS Foundation Day was celebrated with zeal and zest on 15.12.2016.


Students have talent but need to be counselled from time to time for guidance to choose a career for life. Revered people from esteemed organisations like Indian Air Force, NCC, Heavy Water Plant, ITM University, Navrachna University took their time out for making the students aware about the various opportunities and careers. Recently, a workshop on Robotics conducted by Riple Education in which students of Class X learnt how to explore and create robots through hands-on activities  


The Panel inspection was held on 05.10.2016. The dedicated team efforts of the Vidyalaya upgraded the graph of performance.

In this way all the required efforts are being made to bring laurels to the Vidyalaya and leaving no stone unturned & to unfurl the flag of glory, to touch the new heights of success.

Once again I am thankful to you all specially our Chief Guest Brig. Rajat Upreti, for extending full support and imparting valuable suggestions from time to time for upliftment in all the areas. I also acknowledge the co operation and support of the parents and VMC Members in achieving the set goals.

Hope I shall get the same from you all in near future too. I am extremely thankful again to our Chief Guest Brig. Rajat Upreti, Guest of Honour Smt. Chitra Upreti for sparing their valuable time.
